I’m guessing there has to be a hidden API operation for private messaging, as you can configure automated PMs for badges and ranks.
Regardless, I’d love to see a public API endpoint for custom use cases.

My use cases are mostly around complex gamification and engagement tactics.
One use case: We have a featured question incentive in our community. When someone answers a featured question for the first time, I’d love to send them a personal message about the multiple forms of gamification tied to it. I could build it all out with webhooks and API actions in Zapier, but I’m missing the option to create a PM.
