Can I create subfolders for my community domains?

e.g., community.company.com/pt and community.company.com/en

Hey there @Fescholz ,

It looks like this was another question that got missed some time ago. Sorry for the wait!

Unfortunately, it’s not really possible or practical to do subfolder or subdirectory style setups for this sort of thing. I also found more details about it over at

The best option I’d recommend for if you wanted to have different instances for different languages, would be to host them with a subdomain structure that’s something like this:

  • English - community-en.example.com
  • Spanish - community-es.example.com

And so on. It’s more practical to set it all up this way than it is for subfolders, because it’s easier to manage everything and helps to improve isolation for security reasons. The other thing it also pretty much guarantees, is preventing clashes between both the various instances and the main website running on the parent domain. It’s also a lot easier for inSided as well, since the sub-domain setup is very commonly used and is what most of these platforms are designed to be used with.
