Hey @Lila -- I don't see a definition in the article you linked to re: rejected.

I also have some confusion on skipped and how hardbounces + rejected plays into that.

--------------------

If I look at Execution History in CoPilot > Outreaches -- here is what I would love to see:

Target: # of contacts in power-list

Skipped: # of contacts previously hard-bounced, previously rejected, already in send, already sent mail in past 90days that copilot is skipping (I would love to be able to report on all of eahc of these categories as well)

Sent: # of target contacts minus # of skipped contacts

Delivered: (# of Sent minus # Hard Bounces minus # Soft Bounces) (potentially minus of # of rejected depending on the definition)

-- Delivery Rate (# of Delivered / # of Sent)

# Hard Bounce

-- Hard Bounce Rate (# of Hard Bounces / # of Delivered)

# Unique Open

-- Open Rate (# unique opens / # delivered)

# Unique Click

-- Click Rate (# unique clicks / # delivered)

Click to Open Rate ( # unique clicks / # unique opens)

# Marked as Spam

-- Spam Rate (# spam / # delivered)

# Unsubscribed

-- Unsubscribed Rate(# unsub / # delivered)
**Note: Many of these metrics I can get the data for from the Email Logs object. The challenge is that is requires multiple steps to get the complete view. Skipped + their respective categories are a pain to get to -- they aren't available in email logs. Delivered is required to calculate many of the rate based metrics.

Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Statuses in Email Logs.
I will also just add my notes and questions re: skipped vs rejected ---

I'll be working under the assumption that rejected emails are not even attempted to be sent per Sundar's comment in this post.

Two areas I'll be referencing --  Prebuilt Copilot > Outreaches Data (Outreach Data) AND Report Builder > Reports Built Off Email Logs Object (Email Logs).

Outreach Data Questions:

-- Is there overlap of Execution History > Skipped > 'Emails bounce or rejected' (via the mouse over) and Rejected (Email Logs)? Skipped seems to say to me that those emails never made it to the send, but I'm confused on what the difference is between that and rejected in email logs.

-- Follow up -- do Rejected Emails (Email Logs) count in the Sent Number?

-- 'Bounced' (from Outreach Data) seems to equal 'Hard Bounce' + 'Soft Bounce' + 'Rejected' (from Email Logs). That doesn't seem correct if the email system doesn't even attempt to send the email.

This comment above re: the nuances on # sent and then further down open, click, unsub, bounce rates being calculated off of # delivered.
Also -- do these metrics act differently for Operational vs non-Operational emails?

I think that's it for now 🙂
a. Is there overlap of Execution History > Skipped > 'Emails bounce or rejected' (via the mouse over) and Rejected (Email Logs)? Skipped seems to say to me that those emails never made it to the send, but I'm confused on what the difference is between that and rejected in email logs.

No. There is no overlap between Skip(Reason :Email Bounced or rejected) vs Rejected(Email Logs)

Email Bounced or rejected is actually denoting the reason why the recepient was skipped from the outreach execution by Gainsight. We skip sending emails for recepients who were previously rejected.

Rejected denotes that the execution was attempted but was rejected by third party email infrastructure(Sendgrid in your case).

b. Do Rejected Emails (Email Logs) count in the Sent Number? -- Yes

c. Bounced = Hard Bounce +Soft Bounce Only. We dont include Rejected in this list.

For the other questions on additional stats, we will consider the same and respond back here.
