Hosting meet-ups for interest groups on community

Hello all,

I've been focusing a lot on nurturing groups recently, & I’m considering hosting a meet-up/event specifically for the group members.

Have any of you tried using your interest groups to host any in-person or online meet-up of sorts, between the members?

If so, i have these questions running in my mind if you could share your thoughts on them...

  • Any process that worked for you to make this happen?
  • When would you say is the right time to do this for a group? 
  • How often do you host these?
  • Did you do this differently for like a private group vs a public/open group? 
  • Anything else to look out for while doing this?

Any suggestions, thoughts or experiences would really help!
