Academy registration emails and the Learning Path enrollment emails go out at the same time because they are automatically enrolled when they are added to the LMS.  When they look in their email inboxes, the Learning Path notification email typically sits on top of the Academy registration email, so they end up opening the Learning Path email first and attempt to access their courses before they register, and receive an error.

IDEA: Add verbiage to the standard course/learning path enrollment notification that tells them they need to register to become a user of the Academy before attempting to access courses or learning paths.

Hi Sheri, thank you for reaching out.

For adding this information, I recommend you to edit the base template used for all Learning Path notifications.

The template is called Custom Notification - Learning Path and is available in the Administer tab of the Communications section.

There, you can add the necessary information by dragging the Text element and dropping it where you want to place it. In the example below, I decided to add it just below the Go to Learning Path button.

Now, whenever a notification configured in the Learning Path settings of my test academy gets sent, it will include the note I just added. The “body goes here” and “salutation goes here” sections will be replaced with the content of Body Text and Salutation fields defined in the notification.

Here’s the email that I received after going through the steps outlined above and getting enrolled in this learning path.

I hope that helps! Please don’t hesitate to ask if you need any further assistance or clarification.

Thank you so much for your help! Very much appreciated.
