Within our CS department, we have different tiers of managers, CSMs, and CS support personas who all need to see different things. It would be great if we could configure the OOTB widgets to perform different actions based on needs. For example, the CTA widget on Home is designed to filter CTAs by Company→ CSM, not CTA → Assignee, which causes problems for Gainsight users who are not CSMs to see tasks assigned to them. I’d love for the full team to get use out of this part of GS Home but the current set up is proving difficult.

These are a few example use cases I’m finding where this limitation causes issues:

  • Our support team who have no companies assigned to them won't see any CTAs in the widget, even if they have CTAs assigned to them to aid with CSM work
  • CSMs who are doing work on larger cross-collaboration projects won't see the CTAs assigned to them because it's not on one of their listed companies
  • Managers who have CTAs assigned to aid in the renewal process for CSMs won’t see those CTAs because again the company is not under their name.

This defeats the use of the CTA widget for anyone except CSMs. Would love to see either a change to the widget to have it pull from CTA→ Assignee, or an option to configure it to do that. Thanks in advance for considering this!

This 1000% needs to be addressed. The purpose of Home and these widgets is to ensure YOU (the user accessing YOUR Home) is in compliance. Current design of CTAs displaying by Company → CSM instead of CTA → Owner completely negates that concept

I’ve encountered situations where Company A wants to run things on the staffed CSM, and Company B prefers to go by CTA assignee. It really depends on the workflows and SOP’s at each business and for that reason flexibility here is only going to be a good thing. Home should work for every business based on their needs, this is not the kind of thing that an org would change their internal SOP’s to accommodate.

This, 1000%.

We have two groups of CSMs – one who have books of business, one who don’t.

Home doesn’t work for CSMs without books of business.

That’s a great point! Flexibility FTW

This comes back to @gunjanm’s oft quoted line: “don’t tell us how to do our business.”

Gainsight Home (can be) incredibly valuable -- or completely worthless.

If we can’t assign Gainsight Home to entire teams within our CS org, just because our setup doesn’t align with Gainsight’s vision -- that’s a huge value loss. @revathimenon, can we get some PM eyes on this? I’d love to be able to give ALL of our CSMs and CSM managers/directors useful Gainsight Home pages.
