For our community it would be great if we could change the default topic type from Question to conversation. Is it possible to make this a self-service?
Most topics in our community are discussions/conversations, our questions without a 'correct' answer. (f.e. 'My parents are getting divorced, what should i do?')

+9I just voted for this and would like to add / agree with feedback that question as the default option is not ideal for our community.
Just a week in, we’re getting a fair number of user requests to correct their questions to conversations, and staff are having the challenge as well. We are much more likely to have conversations and ideas than questions, so it’d be great to be able to change the default … or if the default just changed to conversation with users able to switch to question similar to how they do for an idea.
We’re also having issues with this on our community. I think a lot of new users don’t realize there is a difference between questions and conversations--or even that they can create more than one type of post. This creates more admin work going through and converting questions into conversations rather than spending that time connecting people with SMEs who can help them.
+9Added this idea that could lead to an initial workaround solution for this bigger picture idea. Consider a vote here, as I assume it’d be a much faster idea for GS to build.
