Please make Sandbox Dependency Checks Accurate

This is in fact a real post. I submitted a ticket Feb 2023 noting that in our Sandbox environment, Data Management>Dependencies did not yield accurate results.

 

It has now been confirmed this is NOT a bug and in fact a sandbox specific product enhancement request. So, here we are.

 

My request is simple: Please make dependencies in the Sandbox accurate.

If the ‘why’ is not self evident here, please see me after class :)

 

@anirbandutta semi-related but should we have “Sandbox” as a product area for community here?

    Wait...Dependency functionality inherent in the platform is different depending on whether or not it’s a production vs. sandbox tenant?!

      @anirbandutta semi-related but should we have “Sandbox” as a product area for community here?

      @bradley I agree to your point of being able to group/categorize “Sandbox” requests… but maybe in this case, the tag sandbox serves us better to group any requirements shared as an Idea, Discussion… etc?

      Btw, a key UX improvement for Product Areas as the portfolio increases is definitely on our roadmap.

            Yup, I was told this had been made an internal request already but wanted to make this for visibility. It’s not really intuitive that checking dependencies in the Sandbox doesn’t work, and very hard to find out that it doesn’t either.
