Funnel - Time from previous step

Hi there,

If a user goes through a funnel multiple times, what does the Time from previous step indicate? Is it an average of all the times the user went through the funnel?

In this example, the green bar indicates that 2,057 unique users went through the funnel. The first user went through the funnel several times in the chosen date range. What does 35 seconds indicate?

Thank you.

Hi @peppe
You’re right! Time from previous step in the funnel shows the time spent in that step of the funnel the first time.

@Chandu - do you know the answer to @peppe ‘s question?

I ran a few tests, and it seems to always reflect the duration of the very first time the user went through the funnel.

Can you confirm that?

Thank you @Chandu. I think that this area could be enhanced a bit.

First, it would be good to have an average here. The first time (or any one time) is not truly representative of the user’s behavior.

Second, the “average” shown in the tooltip of the chart could be changed to the “median” (or maybe both would be valuable). Most of the time, funnels have many outliers, and the average doesn’t truly represent the users’ behavior.
