The never ending Points Battle between the inSided employees

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, and I fancy having some fun again. So here we go.

It’s often been pretty common knowledge that inSpired has some pretty special unique selling points, especially amongst all the communities that run on the inSided platform. Not least the fact that it’s a central hub that brings us all together. But there are also many Easter Eggs that hide within inSpired which not everyone will notice. Just small things that only become visible with a keen eye.

However, one of the most openly visible Easter Eggs of all, is the constant and never ending points battle between the employees who work at inSided. While they all definitely have a huge passion for helping out, what really drives them is actually trying to get first place on the employee leader board and then keeping it from everyone else. There’s a reason that it’s separated from the regular one after all!

Between the secret plans to wipe out points and “ban” each other, clever tactics of blasting tons of questions at once from the backlog, ingenious uses of the Ideation automation that somehow awards points for just clicking a button right through to seriously crafty tricks of using and abusing Slack to get answers from a colleague and then re-posted them as their own, the inSiders have tried and tested almost every possible trick in the book. And yes, you know who you are!

And that’s before I even talk about the (not so) secret stashes in the Cayman Islands… I should probably send the taxman round to enforce a 5,000% Anti Offshore Points Tax Avoidance Scheme Bill that a few inSiders are overdue about paying off. That should put a top on those little schemes... :stuck_out_tongue:

And then there’s me, acting in my “SkyNet Blastoise Mode”, double bluffing, double crossing and acting as a double agent against everyone. Little do they all know, I’ve been turning the battle against them all and making things even more fun since I joined the inSpired Community. Just because I can.

But if there’s one thing I never do, it’s reveal too much about everyone’s sekrit plans to the others, because I don’t want to spoil the show after all. That wouldn’t be any fun!

It is said that some of them are so overly competitive, that they’ve been tempted to ban everyone else a few times and abuse their powers to scoop a whole months worth of points before letting any colleagues back in. Bad news I’m afraid. Cuz I’ve got a solution to that problem too!

I am the unstoppable master of the leader board now!

I’ll simply claim ALL of their points for myself. It’s Super Effective on inSided Employees after all! But I don’t think some of them will be too pleased. XD

But what it ultimately drives, is a bit of friendly competition between the team that runs the inSided Platform and the inSpired Community. Even if some of them do take it a little bit too seriously at times. It’s all part of the fun and is a great demo of the Gamification features here. All I need to do now is figure out how to beat the Gamification system and force it to give me Super User or Total Rock Star ranks. I’m still working on that…

I will leave you with one last piece of advice however. Never get between an inSider and a chance at scoring points. It won’t end well for you.
