When performing a Transformation the Date Diff calculation dialog box says "Date Diff: Calculates the number of days, months, or years between two dates" but in an argument with a date field and rule date, the only output value option is days. Is this because both the date field and the rule date are MM/DD/YYYY format?

John,

This appears to be an incorrect UI display, as the documentation and functionality only allows for days in Date Diff currently. You will need to perform additional transformations to derive other timeframes (i.e. Days Between / 365 to get years between). Admittedly, months is a little bit more challenging.

This topic should be recategorized as a problem instead of question.

Hello all, Date Diff returns the difference of the two selected dates, in DAYS format only. The document is updated accordingly to stress this point. Please find the updated doc here.

Thank you for posting!

Hi there,

I am needing to calculate the difference betwen two dates where the output value is smaller than 1 day. In my attempt, I cannot get any output to show < 1 day even in decimal format. However, this is the calculation necessary for us to measure our Support Ticket Response Rate - which is done by the Hour.

My alternate option is to ingest the Duration value from our support tickets - which I already have - however there isn't a Duration Field available in the GS Object options.

How have others worked with Duration?

Thank you!
