Recently External Attendee was added to the Timeline Activity object. See threads here and here. This is certainly a big help.
However, this field is simply a string/text field. When reporting on Timeline Activities or creating rules based on them, you are unable to add any additional information about the contact. The only way to do this would be to do a look-up or merge based on the name, which is potentially not unique, even when merging on name and Account ID
I assume this is because External Attendee can hold multiple contacts. I'd love a way around this, for this field to be an ID field capable of a look-up.
