We are facing the same concern. Parent names are sometimes the same name as the child names. We prefer to record activities at the child level, but often these are being recorded at the parent level because of the same name. Similar to searching a company in Gainsight, it would be nice to have other fields to identify more information about the company (in our case whether it is a parent or child which we have a field to designate).
Thanks for the feedback. It is valid and appropriate.
This is already in the roadmap but with no ETA for now.
We are currently having the annual planning cycle to decide what we would work on next at a company level.
I will loop back here once I have any update.
@Ritika Jindal would you happen to know if when i search in GS Assist for companies that have the same name, do they always appear in the same order? This would be helpful to know as a way to work around this issue for now
@ktumolo Yes
The outcome depends on the search string provided by the user. If the user enters the exact same search string each time, the results should remain consistent.
For example, when If user searches for 'Gainsight' using the same search string multiple times, the results were consistent. But if the company name is 'Gainsight Assist' and the user searches just for 'Gainsight A', there could be other results like 'Gainsight Apple' included as well. In such cases, the results will be sorted alphabetically.
