One of our sf.com user is following several accounts in sf.com. He is not a Gainsight user though (not yet anyway). We realized recently that he was getting a Gainsight Daily notification based on "Updates on CTAs across the customers you are following". This is really a tease since he cannot access GS.

How is it possible for him to get GS alerts if he is not a GS user?

Thanks!

Lyne

Hi - if I understand your question correctly, you have a user that doesn't have Gainsight access but is receiving email notifications about activity triggered in Gainsight and the question is why/how?

Is it possible your environment is configured to for auto-subscription for email notifications?

https://support.gainsight.com/Administration_and_Permissions/General_Administration/Configure_Internal_User_Email_Notifications#Configuring_Auto-Subscription_for_Email_Notifications

Thanks for the info John. So yes, our autosubscription includes the account owner ID.

So you're saying that even if an account onwer is not a GS user, he/she will still get GS notifications, based on that checkbox?

Please confirm.

thanks!

Lyne

Yes - since they would just have to have a Salesforce license assigned.
