The documentation says that this is possible, but I haven’t seen how I would tell the survey response which object specifically (this success plan on this account) this response should be associated with.

For example, in my survey I have listed the success plan as the associated object, but in the rest of the configuration of the survey or the program, it isn’t requiring a Success Plan GSID. How do I connect those dots?

@Alicia Azar or @Nikhil kumar, any ideas on this one?

Hi @Scotty at Calendly

As it is mentioned in the Support doc we use the associate object and associate field id in transactional survey.
We use these fields to tie our CSAT survey to a specific event like Support case, Implementation, Or any specific event. So that it will help us easily define what the CSAT survey is for and to which event it is targeted to receive feedback.
As to your question how you can specify which id it should choose and how you can you help it choose that id.
Here is an example lets say we are sending a CSAT survey post implementation of a specific Implementation event which has a specific unique id and it is applied to multiple people.

  1. First will tie the survey with the specific object and field
  2. Will create a program to Journey orchestrator to use this survey. and in the query builder of journey will fetch the particular Implementation ID for whom we want to send the survey along with other details like email, You can also use filter if you have multiple Implementation ID present.
  3. Then map the implementation ID to the Context ID along with other field mappings. This will help you associate the implementation ID to every participant that comes to the journey.

  4. Once you publish the JO program you can use the Survey flattening object to report on and see for a specific implementation ID  or people who are part of a specific implementation group, what CSAT they have given in Report builder. The Context ID(implementation ID) will be present as Association ID. You can use the same object in Data designer to have further reporting
