Hi Tim,
Are you looking to do this as a one off or for all the templates in your instance?
If it's a one off template you want to copy, the best way is probably to go into the HTML Editor and copy the entire body of text so you grab all formatting and embedded tags.

As @Dan Suggested below, we have a way to copy the entire HTML code, and we are not sure where exactly you want it to be reused. An exact use-case will help us to answer you better.

It will be an one time backup. So you say we have to go to each template and grab the html? But since we have more than 300+ email templates. It will take forever... Is there any easy way to just back up the 300+ email templates?

+1Hi there, I was also looking to get a list of all email templates across multiple subfolders that would include the subject, copy of the email, template name, etc. We are trying to find the most efficient way to perform an audit of all of our email templates as we are sure there are some that are duplicated in different folders as we have continued to grow our use of GS. We obviously cannot start our email templates from scratch, but we are trying to find the quickest way to complete an audit and possible purge of a majority of email templates without having to open every single one as it is over 1,000 emails.
Are there any updates on this since the original post? Or any other solutions on how we can better audit our entire template list?
There isn't a direct 'export to file' button for templates right now. What we usually do is clone the template into a separate 'Archive' folder within the Journey Orchestrator so we don't lose the HTML structure if someone accidentally edits the original. It’s not a true external backup, but it’s the safest way to keep a version history without having to manually copy-paste the code into a doc every time.
