Long term support for Gsnap?

Our team is considering the use of Gsnaps but noticed the two prerequisites:

  • You must have the Flash plugin installed in your browser.
  • We recommend using the Chrome browser to record Gsnaps. 

Flash is being deprecated across browsers (and by Adobe in December 2020) and isn’t well supported anymore. Is Gainsight planning to make changes to GSnap to address this, as we don’t want to adopt a feature that won’t be supported in the future.

      We also noticed this and when we reached out to Gainsight Product Management the response was no plans to update this functionality.  While this seems a shame, especially in these socially distancing times, unless there is a compelling reason for Gainsight to update this (number of Customers using the function) then we are on our own.  We are exploring a firm called Covideo to evaluate if they can meet our business needs.
