Will we ever be able to migrate across different versions of Gainsight? We are on an IT-mandated quarterly production update cadence but are allowed to update our sandbox monthly to try to get ahead of validating new features before we update production. It sure would be helpful to be able to migrate between environments even if you may be 2-3 versions behind in Prod, understanding that if some features have been enhanced, those might not be able to be fully migrated until Production is brought forward.

Hi Jeff,
I understand your predicament. One of the biggest issues in migration is that a migration activity relies on the underlying database table structures being identical. If they are not, then the migration will be a problem. And since there are multiple standard dependencies and enabled custom lookups across the feature set, it's very hard to predict all the areas that might be impacted by migrating configuration and data from one version to a different version. Enforcing version standarization will reduce the negative experience and potential data corruption that would happen when data structures don't match.
