No way to clone a NPS program but be able to switch the survey to another survey, right? I can’t switch to another survey once I have built out the entire program with it.

Happens all the time when we create a program and clone it and want to use another survey with it but we can't because the cloning also clones the survey associations. This is a very desirable/quality of life functionality needed.

I figured out how to clone the programs and change the surveys (I initially thought that you can't change the underlying surveys of a cloned program but I was wrong).Check out this.gif I just created:

If you have a published survey being used in an active program when you clone the program you get a new draft program associated with the same published survey. From here on you can go to the pencil icon/edit icon next to the program name on the program designer screen situated on the top header bar where you can change the survey the program is using for the new draft program. You will have to resave all the steps of that program which are using the survey. Then you can publish the new program with the new survey.

Sure this is a solution to this process, but wouldn’t an elegant and intuitive Admin UI have an automated prompt or guidance as you to configure this option, rather than hunt for it?

Just a suggestion for when cloning any Survey programs, to always prompt for the associated Survey since if you publish that clone, it will fail on embedded questions as they lose their survey association since the program will never have one configured.

I learned this the hard way.
