Is there a way to set an Engagement (guide) so that it shows automatically ONCE when a user visits a page for the first time after engagement launch and then can only be triggered from a badge? I can’t tell if I can set the audience/qualification scope rules in a way that achieves this. It looks I can get the guide to trigger automatically on page view and then by badge once per session, but that is not the behavior I need.

Do I need to set up two different engagements to achieve this?

The use case here is I’ve set up an onboarding guide that I want users on a given page to see once and then they can click on the badge in the future if they need to call up the guide again.

Hi @bschrenker. I have created what we call AUTO/BADGE guides; this would be the “triggered by” settings.

The Audience identifies the users that should qualify for the automatic engagement, these will also be the users that qualify to see the badge

In the Editor, you can set the badge option to “always” so the badge is persistent even after the user views/completes the automatic guide.

The Schedule would be “only once” because you only want it to automatically pop to the user once, but then the badge stays persistent on the selected URL.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for explaining the setup for me @JayS ! That did the trick.
