Hey guys,
I'm wondering if there are any Community Moderators or Community Managers on here that might be able to give me some information on their experience as a Moderator or what the role involves?
I'll become a Moderator when we launch our Community Forum next year and I'd like to get as much information as possible to make sure I can do my best to ensure our Forum is a success!
Any tips of information you have will be much appreciated. :)
Cheers,
Lucy

Hi Lucy,
Exciting times!
Good that you want to be prepared for your role as a Moderator next year. I can give you some insight in our moderators day-to-day tasks 🙂
Our community is mainly being used for customer support, so one of the main tasks is to answer the questions from our customers. In addition, it is expected that you keep communicating with our Super Users. They answer a lot of questions for us and it's a daily challenge to keep these people excited and active on our community. You have to make a connection on a deeper level and show genuine interest in what they do. This makes that they want to continue to help you.
Then there are the more "standard" tasks such as adding tags, customize messages that violate the house rules, changing titles and move topics to the right subforum. Our moderators regularly post topics with fun facts, games or personal questions like "what is your favorite movie" to make the community vibrant and cozy.
I can talk about this for hours 😉 I hope this is useful for you. If you have any specific questions, do ask! Maybe I can help!
Good luck with the launch next year!

Thank you for your reply, Angela! I may pop you a PM in the new year with a few more questions if that's okay? 🙂
You're welcome, Lucy. Sure! No problem 🙂 Enjoy the Holidays!
