Community Newsletter/Digest Design question

Is anyone using Gainsight DH email campaigns to send community newsletter/digest? Need help understanding how are you designing those newsletter? My Design team is willing to help but I need to understand what specs and dimensions to share with them.

I am, we designed them with the style code in the template and the HTML externally and then copied in to the html part of the campaign editor.

We are using it as well. 

+1 to Juan’s response - designed it with the styling part within the HTML + used a few images that the design team created - mostly banners and section breakers.

I’d say one of the prime things to consider before you design is what all you want to cover in your newsletter. This will help design the newsletter better and decide which part might need more coding or which part can be done with the help of the design team. Having this in place will also help understand if the newsletter needs to be more concise.

It always feels easier to create a newsletter layout/template with the content on a doc first and then analyze which areas will need banners, icons, which parts would make sense using listing style etc.
