we would like our users to fill out the "Your Role in the Community" profile field “Profil” when registering. This is defined as a mandatory field. Unfortunately, it is not adopted accordingly in the custom roles (user overview). Is there a solution for this. We don't want to assign custom roles to every new user manually.

This is possible to do through our API documentation or Zapier. With the API documentation, this would require some coding work, if you’d like I can go into more details on how to set this up.
With Zapier, however, this should be more easy. You can actually set up a free account but I’m not entirely sure if it would cover this process.
So this is how you’d set this up with Zapier:
Step 1: Connect InSided with InSided
Step 2: Create a trigger when there’s a new registration
Step 3: Create paths where the user will select the profile field
Step 3 and 4: Define the path rules where the custom role will be assigned for the user
