Disable notifications of new posts in Groups?

Is there a way to disable members of a Group getting notifications of new posts that are created? Or at least limit what types of users receive them?

Once you’re part of a group you’re set to receive notifications, unless you unsubscribe.

Users can do this themselves within the group:



Or under their profile in the Settings:
 



But you can’t set that value globally or tailor what types they receive.
