Editing the messaging related to restricted content / access?

Where in Control can we edit the default system error messaging that is shown when a user attempts to visit a restricted category / content?

E.g., this is the messaging a user would see if they are unauthenticated or do not have sufficient entitlements to access the content / category.

Thanks!

Hi & welcome to our community! :)

Normally you can change all text strings by activating the “phrases mode” while being logged in in the frontend. But of course pages like these are hard to reach when you are logged in (as admin), so you can always also manually add them in the Control environment.

You can actually find not just where to add this information exactly, but also the codes that you will need to enter in order to change the right phrase in this guide:

You are probably looking for the Error 403 page. If you should have questions, just let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

Thanks for the quick reply, Julian, and the welcome!

We’ll let you know if any follow-up questions.
