How do negative points work?
I’m seeing a user with negative 20 points in my user dashboard view for last month. How does that happen?
Are points removed when a marked answer is removed? (the points amount matches the 20 we give for answers.)

Users can have points deducted in a few ways:
- Best answer removed
- Unlike a post
- Having a post unliked
This is expected behavior and it’s part of our platform code I can confirm. However, this is only shown on Control in the Analytics Dashboards. It won’t show on the front end so users would never be displayed with negative points in the leaderboard; it would show 0 points instead.
