Is it possible to disable private message for all end users? Or entirely? I’ve come across other posts that indicate this is possible but haven’t yet found the way to do it. Is there a setting in Control for this?

You are able to turn off entirely with a request to our support desk or I can do it for you here.

Hi @leo-inspired, thank you! To confirm, it’s not possible to delineate by back-end and front-end ability? Ideally, I would love if it is possible to continue to send automated badge notifications via private message, but prevent users from responding/sending new ones. 


I do see your point; that would be good idea but unfortunately that’s not possible. If private messages are turned off, users won't even see the 'Private messages' option on their profile and the notifications won’t work.

For badges, email is the only way to get notifications in this case. 


Maybe you can create an idea for this with your use case?
