We have super users who read every post that comes in, and they are asking for an unread topics view. If this is a feature I have been unable to find it!

Is there a way to show a list of unread posts/topics on the front end?

There isn’t the functionality for a list of unread posts available at the moment. I’d encourage you to post an idea for this so that community members can vote for it.
With the current functionality, the closest that your super users can get to a view like this would be the ‘Recently Active Topics’ or ‘Active since last visit’ view:
To add to this, what may be useful for them is to turn on this setting, if they haven’t already:
This will mean that you will see a new label when there are unread replies on a topic like below:
Your users can turn this on by going to their Profile Page → Edit Profile → Settings.
