Hi there,

Is there any limit on creating the discussion topics on the Community? We've a sub-forum for the 'How to Videos' and we're trying to create separate topic for each of the 50+ videos. After creating 12 topics within last two days, our web editor gets an error 'You've reached your limit'.

How can we surpass this? Any custom roles we can assign to him?

Cheers, Piyush
Ah yes, this is a spam prevention measure for newly registered accounts who've been a community member for less than 10 days. It prevents them from posting above a certain number of topics in 24 hours. If they post them one after the other the limit is 3, but the limit is dynamic so changes depending on their behaviour and how spammy they seem, which is why this user got 6 before being blocked.

If you want to get around it you should simply change the users primary role to 'moderator', as the spam prevention measure is only in place for 'registered users', a custom role won't work. Or else once 10 days have passed this measure will no longer apply to this user, and they will be able to post an unlimited number of topics per day!
Thank you, Shane! 😃
