OK, I have been searching for phrase modules and keys for different areas for a while. It does not work. It is pretty poor in fact. There doesn’t appear to be any consistent logic behind keys and then there are keys which appear to be arbitrarily shared between different locations. A good example?

privateState.register.alreadyhaveaccount

It is used for both the activation code popup AND the registration screen in private mode. Yet, finding the key for the text “Welcome to our community!” is impossible.

From reading posts here I have seen suggestions that the 1500 keys and modules will not be released because it is too difficult to document them. So what is the point of them? This leads users to hacking around with Javascript to dynamically edit the UI which is just messy unless you open up more functionality to do this in a better way.

You can probably tell that I am a little frustrated by this. If you just gave us a list of the 1500 to look through, we may be able to work out a pattern in how these have been named or even just use trial and error to find the correct ones. I mean, they really should be documented in some form, but for them not to even be available for us to use is utterly ridiculous.

Please sort this.

I agree, there should be list to view “all” of them. I have asked maybe dozens of text keys so far and I dont like it.

Generally speaking, I am not fan of text keys at all. I like Phrases tool (live edit), it is really nice. Sadly there is no all of the texts.

I have been struggling to find the text keys for the private registration stuff. I agree that the tool does make it seem quite useful when you can use it. But without being able to use that, you end up pulling your hair out. It is actually easier to just add some Javascript to do it for you….but that’s just messy given the limited spaces you have to do that in.

Hi @rhall 👋,

We’re hearing your feedback loud and clear and I agree this is something that needs to be improved.

As you mentioned, we’ve had difficulty maintaining and documenting phrases in the past, mostly due to a rapidly evolving product as well as resource issues we faced as a scale up as ‘inSided’ prior to the Gainsight acquisition.

Although we have an imperfect list, we’ll be looking to share this more openly so that you are also able to self serve more effectively, as well as help identify any improvements that are needed (such as if certain phrases are used in multiple locations where it does not make sense).

We’ll do some initial clean up and share the list in the new year.

Hi @rhall,

You're always welcome to reach out to our support team, and we'll be more than happy to assist you with any difficulties you're experiencing with any of the phrases 😊
