Post conversation/question to Group (User Group) using the API?

Has anyone seen documentation on how to post to a group?

I know it is possible to create a post within a group, but I am not sure how to do this through the API. It requries categoryID, but I do not believe the same idea s a group ID.

 

Any thoughts?

    Hi, @ahamburg9! Thanks for your patience with us getting you the information you asked for.

     

    When using the API to add content, the Group ID = Category ID. Technically, the system treats Groups as Categories, so that is why this is the case.

     

    You can get a Group ID by opening its settings in Control, and then checking the numerical value in the URL.
