Hi there,

I want to reduce the number of replies per page from 25 to perhaps 10 or 15 - assume this is possible from the control area but can’t find it.

One of the problems we have is topics with 25 replies that contain media. It can take a long time for the whole thread to load.

Thanks in advance!

Heya @Gabolino !

Did you mean 10/25 replies per page by any chance? If only 10 replies were allowed per thread/topic, that’d quickly result in them being closed.

I’ve seen this myself actually and have a few ideas that might help, but I’ve just not quite had chance to post them yet. In the meantime, I did find a related one.

There’s also this one which I just posted a few moments ago, which I’ve been meaning to suggest for ages. I’ve just posted it over at

Hope this helps!

Yes, my bad. I mean per page not per thread!  Do you know if replies per page can be modified in control?.

Thanks for sharing those ideas!

No worries :)

I don’t have access to Control myself, but it seems to be somewhat dynamic and partially based on what’s in each comment and how long they all are. It’s pretty common for forum software to squeeze in more replies onto one page if there’s space, but to split them up further if there’s any giant ones in the thread. I don’t think there’s an option to change this that I’m aware of.

However, I do think that combining lazy loading with more control over pagination could help you guys out a lot. I didn’t manage to find any related ideas for pagination, so feel free to grab that one if you’d like to.
