Self-notifications: is this something we can change?

Hi all,

I've got a question about the email notifications triggered by 'Best Answer' being marked on a post.

If I mark my own comment as the Best Answer, I get a notification saying this has happened. I'm a moderator, but other forum users would also be able to do this on their comment if they think they've given the right information. Example below:

I appreciate these email templates are customisable, however is there a way of excluding the individual concerned from this notification if we can recognise that the person who marked it as best answer is subscribed to the thread and would get this email?

Does that make sense? Let me know if I've missed anything, or not explained myself properly!

Nancy

You cannot exclude it yourself but I agree with you that this shouldn't happen. This is a "fix" that inSided would have to build. If you create an idea then I will upvote it (and a lot of other users as well, I'm sure).

Hi,

Bjoern is right with what he is saying - and this is something we of course are aware of. It's already on our radar, but we have no specific timeline as to when this will be improved.

Submitting it as an idea would surely help us to figure out the demand for such an improvement! 🙂

Okay @bjoern_schulze - will do!
