We’ve recently had a teammate change their username from Control. Having posted one piece of content this resulted in the author being displayed on the homepage as “Anonymous0” without profile pic and on the actual topic page as the old username with profile pic. And when featured the topic showed the correct profile pic and the correct username in the user pop-up when hovered.

Feels as though if there are issues with the changing of username then even as an admin/ moderator the change should not be possible. Obviously I’d much prefer it be possible and without bugs.
