Hi all,

I wanted to share my experience here, and check if this is something that’s being improved from a platform point of view:

When leaving a comment on a thread with more then one page of comments, I was frustrated to find out that toggling between pages resulted in my half-written response being lost. I was then frustrated again, to find out that I wasn’t easily able to C&P the comment and quote, which would’ve allowed me to toggle back to and refer to the most recent page of comments. Both of these features should be live.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? And can Insided point me to the most relevant topic which updates us on these feature improvements?

I spy with my little eye… A damsel in distress… Hehehe. And yes. This is an invisible Hiya Timmy!

I’ve also found this as well and it’s a bit confusing. However, it’s also a pretty common behaviour with forum software. I’ve yet to come across any that won’t do this without having to open up the editor on a dedicated page, such as with phpBB. However, that also has disadvantages in that you can’t really see what you’re replying to at all, and it’s a bit clunky if you’re not used to it.

The best workaround I’ve come across to date, is to open up the same thread in two tabs and then use one of the tabs for browsing the thread, and the other for composing my reply. It’s not quite an ideal workaround, but it’s the best I can think of right now.

However… I have been discussing similar issues recently with a few people and I think this is being looked into. I’d certainly appreciate a Save Draft feature!
