Hey all,

I love that you started this discussion.
It’s especially timely given the revision of the InSpired home page in their Customer Hub structure with the Community Overview. (Their approach seems to be in line with Feverbee’s recommendations)
Interestingly, I’m thinking similarly to Insided for our use of the Home and Overview pages, but in reverse. I’m likely to use the KB and Community Overview pages as “Hub” pages like you see on the InSpired home. Our Home page will get more “Hub” elements as well, but I want to keep the activity feed prominent on the home page.
There’s where I’d disagree with Feverbee the most: I think the activity feed needs to be higher up the priority list. Yes, it’s more for regular visitors… but you need your Questions and Conversations to actually get replies . My hypothesis is that InSpired will see fewer posts and replies given that the activity feed is now buried a bit. Perhaps I’m wrong. Interested to see what the data and user behavior reveals over the next few weeks/months.
(FWIW, at a previous company/community, my Insided CSM (now departed) recommended moving the Activity Feed UP to higher on the page as a best practice to drive engagement.)
I wouldn't recommend hiding your feed from your community home page either. It's the main element that shows your community is alive and kicking so I'm all for giving it a prime spot.
I 1000% agree in having the activity feed as prominent as possible above the fold :)
