Part of the issue is that users see an error message when trying to edit past their editing access. 

“Editing reply not allowed for current user” is what shows in a red error bar. 

I assume there’s a hidden phrase that corresponds to this and hope it can be shared so I (and others like me) can update it to add additional context (ex. Editing posts is not allowed after 60 minutes)

This isn’t a phrase that can be edited from the front end Phrasing UI, as you have to be a non-admin in order to trigger the phrase.
