In our Wish List we often receive ideas from customers which require a lot of back and forth to fully understand what they’re looking to achieve.
Even though we have Wish List guidelines that provide guidance on how to format an idea, I’m curious to know if there’s a way to include a default format / template when adding an Idea to the Wish List?

This can be achieved although it would need to be done by some custom work with Third Party Scripts. You could use JavaScript to ''listen'' for when the Idea radio button is clicked and then update the grey text HTML within the content editor. You''ll need some technical resource to achieve this though or it''s something our Professional Services team would be able to do.
Alternatively, you can edit the phrase in control for the placeholder within the content editor (although this would appear no matter what content type is selected) but add a more explicit note to say something along the lines of ''If you are creating an idea, be sure to include xyz''.
