Hi Julie!

I’ve been seen the new courses trickle in and going through a few of them. Great content overall!

I notice a shift from having a table of content on the side with multiple activities in the “older” courses, to having a single activity with an embedded slideshow, which includes videos, interactive elements, text, and graphics in the “new” ones. Can you expand on the reasoning behind the change? Would you say that the new course style is a “best practice” in how we should be delivering content?

Hi @MNPF, Great question. We’ve switched to a new “microlearning” approach for our training courses. A microlearning strategy focuses on delivering content in small, specific bursts, making it easier for learners to absorb and retain information. The bite-sized nature of the content leads to higher engagement rates, as learners are less likely to be overwhelmed by the volume of material. Moreover, microlearning is designed to be directly applicable, often focusing on a single concept or skill, which can immediately impact job performance. Let me know if you’d like to discuss more. Thanks.

Hmm.. Interesting… Thanks for the quick response. I have a ton more question and I would love to discuss more. What’s the best way to go about that?

Hi @MNPF! I suggest reaching out to your Gainsight CE point of contact(s) to continue this strategic conversation on creating engaging and effective courses, do you have someone from Gainsight you can chat with? Also, continue to utilize this Community to ask specific questions to engage other CE customers on how they are building their content, or utilize the CE Academy (linked above) and CE blog for more learning and best practices!

Also, check here for a recent Webinar series the CE team is running, there was a great session on designing and building impactful courses.
