HI Team,
When sorting a date column on a c360 report, the customer noticed that it wouldn't refresh data when selecting (> or <) fields. Once we get the results after the initial fitter, if we need to change the condition and pick "Less Than" for example, the data doesn't change. It's the same data from the "Greater Than" selection. We would have to refresh the whole report, pick the date range again and then select a different type.

This is as designed, the inline filters will only filter on the data already fetched from the initial Query 

that is why we have 2 filters on the top to actually get the right segment of data and the inline column level filters to get the data after the initial data set is queried .
