We have a user that would like the ability to view any sort of an attachment on the C360. For example, we have a recent architectural review done for a customer and saved down to a pdf. For quick reference at any point in time it would be nice for the team to be able to jump to that account page and pull up that review at any time.

We know the ability to use attachments in Timeline, but that requires some digging. Is there reporting functionality that would allow us to show a related list for timeline entries that have attachments?

Hi Jake,

Have you considered using a file storage platform like Box and then embedding that as a section in your C360?

Could a similar embed be made for a Dropbox folder?

Hi John,

The embed works best if the page is a visualforce page. I did some light testing and it looks like personal account dropbox is not compatible OOTB, but business dropbox might be.

Would the above solution allow you to see attachments added to Timeline, CTA's, etc.? I think that is a big piece of functionality that I am not seeing today. I know if I told my end users to add it in two places (ie. Timeline Activity and then Drop Box) they would not adopt that solution and do one or the other.

Hey Samantha,

I was looking at this from Dropbox on the App Exchange: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N30000000prqLEAQ

It doesn't seem like there is a sync between Timeline and Dropbox visual force page.

Hi @jake_smith , thanks for sharing your feedback. To filter out the timeline activities which has attachments added, Would a field called “Attachments available” with values “Yes/No” work?

Is there a more recent update on this!? We are getting so many requests for an easier way to view/attach/search for files on a C360. I am not finding any new documentation stating that this has even been considered. Seems like a pretty big limitation!
