We have a simple two step email journey for new users, sent 7 days apart, on behalf of the CSM.

Our CSMs flagged a small gap whereby if the assigned CSM changes in the 7 day period, the Sender for the second email will be the old CSM, rather than the new.

My idea was to create a calculated field to pull in the new CSM’s email address as the sender address, but the “Add Calculated Field” button is unavailable on Active and Paused programs.

Do we really have to clone the program and re-launch to add a new calculated field? I was surprised to find no Ideas/Questions related to this.

Thanks!

Hello @silasramsden

Hope you are doing great!

Yes, you need to clone the existing JO Program in order to add the Calculated Field.

Note: In the current functionality of the system, you can add a Calculated Field to a JO Program that is Active or Paused if the program includes a Conditional Wait. From within the conditional wait, we can add a calculated field but If the Conditional Wait is not present, you cannot add a Calculated Field.

Thanks,

Hi @silasramsden

It’s always a good idea to build the “live CSM” calculated fields (email, sender name, sender title and also GSID) and probably a bunch of other calculated fields to re-evaluate left the business and similar values, as a baseline in all of your programs, and why not create a template in which those are pre-set so at least you can build this in from scratch in all programs.

Dynamic JO while you cannot modify everything, you can modify more elements than in Advanced, and we have been lobbying for more editability in Dynamic JO with @dayn.johnson, @Stuart, @Padolfi and co to avoid these recurring issues with having to multiply programs to make small changes and adaptations. I’ll try to tag you on those posts so you can upvote them as well.

Thanks!
