Great news! We at Gainsight are actively looking for beta participants for Gainsight’s Unification feature!

What is Unification?

The Unification feature helps you to unify the Company and Person data from various sources to get a 360 view of your customers across business lines. Unification helps with the following data problems:

  • Finding duplicate data: Automatically Identifying duplicates within a source, including Company & Person standard objects in Gainsight
  • Multi CRM: Adding data from Multiple CRMs into Gainsight
  • Unifying Related Data: Unifying custom data objects with Company data that do not have Salesforce Account ID or other External IDs already, via Exact or fuzzy matching.
  • Automatically modelling relationships into Gainsight from multiple data sources

Thank you for the opportunity to join the beta, but before we do, can you, please clarify if this tool can help with identifying and merging duplicate company and person records in GS. Is this solution an extension of the company merge tool but more automated?

Our most pressing use case is when accounts get merged in SF, and we don’t have a way to detect and merge them in Gainsight. This was easy in the SFDC edition, but in NXT it has been a real challenge.

Hello Jasmina,

  • Yes, this tool can help with identifying duplicate company and person records in GS automatically and leverages the existing company merge tool to merge the Companies manually.
  • In parallel, we are also building a scalable Person Merge capability using this tool for which we are actively looking for customers to talk to.
  • However, we do not automatically merge companies or Persons when they are merged in SF yet.  @Shilpa Gumnur @gopal_rao_kallepu

This looks fantastic, but I’m curious if the functionality is planned to be expanded to Relationship level?

Most of our clients have multiple products and treating them as relationships, which correlates to Opportunities in SalesForce, the same Company can have many. Our billing, usage, etc… all flows into the Relationship level and can be rolled up to the Company. The ability to unify data on Relationship level would be immensely helpful.
