Note Template Activity Type Drop Down Missing Types

Working with our admin today to setup note templates and there are not Activity Types showing even though we have many Activity Types active.  Where would we activate this-there is nothing here in Community nor in Support other than this “how to” but that doesn’t explain why Activity Type is empty or how to add.

Hi @nburke 
You have to go to Administration → Timeline  → Note templates tab
Select your template, click on the three dots at right and edit. 

 


Then, from the Activity Type dropdown, select the activities for which you want the template to be available and save

@romihache  that is what I’m indicating is missing.  If I Create New Template there are no activity types to choose from as you can see in my screenshot. We have activity types created so I am not sure where this setting could be to enable it for notes or what we are missing with the activity types for it to not show for note templates.

Oh I’m so sorry! didn’t realize the screenshot was from that section already 🤦🏻
The only thing I can think about is that the Activity types have to be active to appear there.

Honestly, I can’t recall having to do any additional configuration to enable that.  
Right now you have chat support available, I would ask them. Sometimes it’s just an issue specific to your instance

@nburke could you by any chance be creating templates at the relationship level and your active activities be at the company level or something like this?

@alizee  I have tried using Global and Company and neither give me an Activity Types to choose from therefore not allowing me to create a template.

@nburke Was Support able to help? I also don’t remember setting anything extra up to get the activity types to appear in note templates. Wondering if it’s instance-related like Romi has suggested.
