Hi everyone!

I need to send an email chain today. The first email is intended to be sent today, 7/27 at 11am PST, second email will go out tuesday 8/1, and the third email will go out 8/10

What should be the wait timer between each one?

Is this okay?  5 days and then 9 days? or should I count since the first email and sum it? like 5 days and then 14 days?

Thanks!

Hi @Melany

Unlike the conditional wait in survey programs, conditional waits apply from previous step, to next step, so you just have to worry about the number of desired days between two steps.

Another tip for figuring out how many days between steps which is confusing in certain instances (occasionally breaks my brain and that of my users):

If the first email is sent on Tuesday and the second email needs to be sent the next Tuesday, Wait Timer = 7 Days.

Always start from a full week, see where that takes you, and then remove or add days to get to your date.

In your case, that’s how JO will consider your dates:

  • August 1st, is 5 days after July 27th so Wait Timer = 5 Days
  • August 10th is 9 days after August 1st so Wait Timer = 9 Days

Hope this helps!
