We are looking to use CE Quizzes for our certification program in the next couple of months.
One area that is holding us back is the inability to assign partial scores for multiple-response questions. Currently, if a learner doesn’t select every correct answer in a multiple-choice multiple-response question the score is marked as 0. This increases the difficulty of such questions exponentially, when compared to having the ability to assign partial scores for answers that are correct. Currently, the only way around this (from a certification assessment perspective) is to state the number of correct answers as part of the question (e.g. “Select the 3 correct answers”) - the problem here is that this swings the level of difficulty in the opposite direction, making the question much easier.
Therefore, I’m suggesting a simple weighting method that could be enabled/disabled per quiz for MCMR questions, whereby each correct answer is assigned an equal percentage of 1. For example, if there are 2 correct answers from a selection of 4, each answer would score 0.5, proving a maximum possible score of 1. The handling of the scores can be managed by admins in the pass rate % for the quiz.
