Hii guys, What do you think about making a separate page, with a different layout, for blogs? I think this would be nice, just having a blog page where you can choose if users can also add blogs or only read ones from the company. Then i can also promote this page separate from the community. (i know this is also possible now by creating a new category. but i think a different layout would be better). For example this is a page from Vandebron.

Hello and (nearly) happy new year!An idea - can we get an auto save functionality? A couple of our community’s super users have ‘lost’ their posts because there was a tech issue their end so their beautifully written words and well crafted replies were lost, meaning they had to start again.And when someone loses their whole post, their second attempt is tinged with frustration, alas.Can we explore adding auto saves to posts?

We’re looking to leverage Spaces to collaborate with customers on Success Plans. We use the Customer Goals object to track and manage Value (Proposed, Planned, and Deliver) with customers. At the moment, we’re being blocked because we have internal fields on the Customer Goal object that we need to keep hidden. We’d like the ability to collaborate on Customer Goals with customers via Spaces - without exposing fields that should be internal only. 

Hi, In our Forum, sometimes we need to send a bulk message to a large group or even entire community. Nowadays, it is only possible to send to 50 users at a time. It’s okay, if they are very specific messages and for very small groups. But if we need to promote, highlight, alert, warn, change or communicate some content to a larger group or even to the whole community, the work becomes practically impossible and ungrateful for a communities with 50K, 100K or more users. Despite being sporadic sending, which has a more personalized and engaging goal for each user in the community (also transmitting a feeling of uniqueness to each of them), I think it would be an improvement and added value for the proper functioning of the platform and forum. As an alternative, at least the possibility of increasing to large number, for example 1000.   I look forward to your evaluation for this request :)   Thanks

Some of our users didn’t consider that their usernames would be displayed publicly when they registered. That's why we have received some requests to change their usernames, because they themselves can’t change it. It would be great if it would be possible for users to change their usernames by themselves. 

Original discussion was here We use Single Sign-on and we classify users by the type like customers, partners and guests (those who are neither customers nor partners in our system) and we would like to premoderate only these posts submitted by guests and turn it off for all other roles (we use custom roles for that.

Registered users can flag (report) any content that is spam, is breaking the rules or laws in their opinion. Moderators review the flagged content and decide to remove, edit or leave it as it is. But as moderators aren't online 24/7, but the community is open every day and every night, sometimes a moderator can only review flagged content after some hours (or in the event of holidays even days), even when an email alert via "Flagged Content Alerts" is activated. Until then the content is still online and public to everyone.We propose that inSided adds a new option: If a piece of content was flagged by multiple users (e.g. 3 times) before a moderator reviewed it, then this piece of content automatically gets depublished (quarantined) until it is reviewed.With this option, users (especially power users) will be of more help to quickly remove spam, rulebreaking or illegal content. And we as a platform don't need to fear that the absence of moderators leads to legal or other troubles.

For service-oriented communities it's a regular occurrence to move a conversation to private messages in order to obtain customer information or data. Right now it is not possible to attach images (the WYSIWYG editor isn't activated for private messaging), PDFs or any other file types to a private message. We would like to be able to have attachments for the standard file types (jpg, png, pdf, txt) enabled to private messages.

Hi. Is there any way to display the list of the events in the calendar format? This makes easier to manage and select the events a person wants to attend. I have blurred the events, but in each blurred cell there is an events, sometimes two events or more.  

This is idea is actually from our legal/ GDPR team:All of our users have a right to be forgotten. On the InSided platform it means that that an erased user is being anonymized, meaning that all the content they’ve produced to the community stays.If a user wants to practice their right to be forgotten they should also be able to delete their topics/replies, so that after profile erasure literally everything would be deleted.

Because there are no subforums possible in the group, the questions, conversations and blogs are mixed in 1 overview. This makes things clutter up. In addition, you don't want topics such as introducing yourself to a particular group to eventually disappear to the bottom. But that it is clear in a subforum so that new and existing members can look at it. Subforum also offers more structure in the group.  

Hi all,notifications are a powerful way to (re)engage your community members.So I want to expand on @Moller Toma ‘s idea of Notification email to moderator/community manager as soon as there is a new community member I think the approach to welcome new members involve them has huge potential to keep a larger amount of users engaged over time. Provide a self-serve option for admins to manually approve user email addresses that have been blocked from account registration by inSided because their email address was flagged as suspicious. We use SSO for our community. Every so often, someone tries to register for a Coursera Community account but the inSided spam detection check prevents them from doing so (despite already having a Coursera account under the same email address).  This means they get an error message, asking them to email us.  If they email, the email goes to our technical support team, which then needs to be escalated to us. Then, we have to email support@insided.com to put in the request to manually approve an email address. Once we have word this is complete, we return to the user letting them know they can proceed with account registration. All in all, it generally takes 3–5 business days. For User Groups it would be nice to have a featured content group or category option.  For example we have users groups which every month of so have a webinar event which is recorded.  It would be nice to have the ability to upload all the recording and have them grouped together. OR if there are important group documents such as by-laws, code of ethics, etc.  It would be good to have them easily accessible via a category or sub-page.  Maybe links on the right hand side of the group to this type of info.  Currently the featured content all appears at the top of the user group page. 

Is it possible to get an email notification sent to a user if their post has been moved/merged? This would avoid the moderator having to comment on the post and tag the user, which makes it look like the most recent activity on a lot of posts is by moderators.

Hello everybody! At www.A1community.net, we will introduce the Leaderboard within the next weeks. Generally, I think it’s a very cool idea: It should enable in particular new community members into being more engaged and contribute more content. Nevertheless, there are a few things that I’m missing:automated Badges: It’d be nice, if weekly winners (e.g. Top 3) received a bagde representing their victory in the leaderboard every week. There could be additional, special badges for winning 3 times in a row, or for winning the most first, second and third places in a year or in a month. E-Mail Templates and notifications: It’d be nice if a winner got a notification whenever he/she places first, second or third. Option to reset leaderboard every month: I’d like to have the option to reset the leaderboard not every week, but every month only. These are my thoughts on the new leaderboard. As we are a mature community we do have a long history of exchanging private messages with our customers. Sometimes we might have a case of a possible stolen identity, fraud or other misuse. So, sometimes there is a need to check messages and details from older messages, and in a case of stolen identity, there might be two community users pretending to be the same person. Therefore it would be handy for the moderators to be able to search PM's by email and the contents of the PM. Also it would be really good to see the exact time stamp of the PM's. A case example from today: A customer has registered Nickname1 to our community using email@email.com and Nickname2 using other_email@email.com. Our moderators exchanged private messages with Nickname2 back in 2017. Now in 2019 Nickname1 contacts our moderator team. They see that an order has been placed via the community, but they do not see it in the PMs. We only had the first email registered in our CRM system, so we were, at first

We’re right now working on a special digital event concept in our community and we want to give some badges for participating, sharing, commenting, etc. especially in the event section. We’ll do it manually for now, but it would be super nice to include the events in the gamification concept in the backend. Than we can generate some automatic badges & maybe also some ranks based on the events.   

We’re looking to setup a private Group for customer advocates. From discussions with customer marketing, they’re hoping to differentiate the types of activities that a group member can participate in and get rewarded for, as opposed to regular community category participation. This would require making the following existing activities into point-earning actions: social sharing poll creation and participation And, ideally, they'd like to track and reward participation for new types of activities, which might start on community, but would possibly be completed elsewhere (?): authoring blog posts survey, research, and case study participation mentor matching

Similar to a closed idea from two years ago: And a broader version of what I’d be looking for in this idea I just submitted:  Ideation Status Labels are fully customizable by color and text. It’d be great to have for topic labels as well. The ability to add ad hoc custom labels to a topic is nice, but ideally I’d be able to edit the default labels and/or our custom labels would also show in the label drop-down list. Our taxonomy for labels is a bit different than the defaults, so showing those (and not the custom labels) causes confusion and inconsistency on how labels are applied. 

Currently you can only create a public event, or make an event private through the use of a private group.  We're looking into using the Events module for our various events throughout the year. Some of these events are for our super users only. Our super users have a specific user role. They also have a private space on the community, but we use a subcategory for that, and not a group.  So, I'd like the ability to also limit event visibility, and the option to register for one, based on a user role. Edited to add: with the current this-or-that option, the Events module is really only usable for one type of Event that we we do, and not for the rest.
