@Gainsight CC Team I keep getting my posts/comments submitted for review in here. It’s really not an ideal experience.

Hi @rhall

I’m so sorry you are facing this again.

I recall your last post about the same and I had exempted you from the spam checker as well - let me come back to you soon after a chat with the team internally to see what else could be causing this since I can’t seem to find any spammy item on the recent comment.

Appreciate your patience!

Hi @rhall

We did a bit of poking around and have altered a custom role exemption for you which should ideally avoid putting your posts/comments into spam in the future. I am pretty confident that this will work.🤞🏼

I have a small request, if that’s fine by you. If you do see this issue occur again, please use this thread to update me immediately. Hopefully you won’t need to 😃!

Hi @revathimenon,

This has started again this week. I am getting several posts blocked for absolutely no reason that I can think of. I have also noticed it on my Community. It is really frustrating.

Hi @rhall - we’ve done some digging and we can see what has happened.  We have an automatic spam checker in this community, but you are already exempt from it.  What instead was happening is related to our keyword blocker.  As you probably know, that’s a feature that is typically used to flag posts that include profanities and words that are popular with spammers.  It turns out that our list of keywords was a little overzealous and included the word ‘blow’.  There’s a rude American colloquial meaning for that word, of course, but it can also be used in a totally different context, like ‘blow your mind’ or ‘blow the roof off’.  In three of your recent posts you used it in a way like that (in a 100% non-rude and acceptable way!)  The fault is, of course, entirely on us and our keyword list.  I’ve taken this word out and will review our list again to make sure we’re not being overly conservative.  Sorry again for the hassle.  :)

@Kenneth R I did wonder whether I had inadvertently potentially caused this with that in the last post I added. A little bit like you’d probably want to be careful about using that word at an airport 🤣

These words with varying meanings can create some quite funny situations when meant in one way by the speaker but interpreted in a completely different way by others. I once worked for a company called Talend. They had a product called Talend Open Studio. The acronym was often spoken. I won’t spell it as it was used, but T.O.S with it pronounced as if it was a double S. In the US they would refer to the users of that product by using the spoken acronym with “ers” at the end. In the UK, that has a COMPLETELY different meaning 🤣

Thanks for sorting this and I will try to be careful with what I say 😁

Is there way for us to investigate, when this happens in our community? I mean how to know what word is causing post hiding? Compare post and keyword listing, one word at the time? 😀

Hey @revote - there’s no native mechanism to automatically investigate, but thankfully it’s also a quite rare occurrence, as long as we haven’t gone overboard with our keywords. This morning it didn’t take me long to identify which word was the likely culprit. :)
