Our CSMs would like us to disable the Email Activity type on the global timeline as they do not see a use for it. I can see in documentation we cannot delete the 5 default Activity types. Hi @Anks89 Email activity type is used by Gainsight Assist, Email Assist and BCC to timeline? Do you not use any of these tools to keep a history of interactions with customers?


Thanks @alizee for responding. I am not sure of the difference between Gainsight Assist vs Email Assist. We use the Outlook plugin though. Anyway, we checked with our CSM and there is no way to disable it.

Gainsight Assist is the Outlook plugin, and the emails you push to timeline via that plugin will be of “email” type.

Can you provide more insight into the rationale for now wanting Email activity type in Timeline while using Gainsight Assist? How would you like your emails to appear in timeline if not as emails?
