As an example, our internal teams are looking to modify the activity type within timeline, as generally these "to-dos" or tasks tie back to work that is already categorized, like an escalation. By having consistency across these to-do's back to the broader activity type, we could potentially have the opportunity to better quantify the work being completed by CSMs.

However, after an activity is logged, the type cannot be changed. You can vote for that feature here: https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/option-to-change-type-in-timeline
Or, you could create a custom field for Activity "sub-type" or "purpose", which would be editable after-the-fact.
